I'm sorry i've been away

As usual this time of the year is hectic, even if you feel
like you need to actually be slowing down!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in forever,
alas I have been juggling far too many balls.
(sis on you and your dirty mind!)

But on a serious note, I see many great
things happening in the year to come!

A few bold moves are in order, scary,
but if you don't try you'll never know right?

I found this beautiful dress on Etsy.
A 1960's French strapless party dress!!!
I wish I was wearing it now!

A bit too fancy for work but at least i'd feel like
a real lady!

It's reserved, but you guys know me...
I'm more of a dreamer and sometimes
an occasional buyer.

MUCH LOVE,
XXXXXXXX

It is from the 1980's, takes 110 film, and has never been used.

Found on Etsdy, sadly...far too late.
The word SOLD still sends chills down my spine, especially since it was only $10.

This illustration of what to watch by alex latimer! I love making lists of things so this is perfect for my list of what to watch! Everyone should have one! This is his!

You're a tit.

Sebastian Lester, trained in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins created this beauty.

I love the mix of beautiful imagery and his sharp sense of humor.

Tits are awesome, little birdies that is :)

Something cool to do in Jozi this weekend!

Well how exciting! http://www.thesuper.co.za/ are SUPER DUPER cool!
Here's what they had to say about Saturdays shenanigans!

'Joburg has two kinds of markets, and we are neither. The first are organic granny-craft-markets and the other are salami-and-pesto-in-a-parking-lot markets. We think a local, conscious market can be a cool place to hang out and do your grocery shopping.

Artisanal baker, fish monger, butcher, charcuterer, confectioner, flower merchant, cheese, dairy, baristas, MESS pop-up brunches, beer, fresh juices, Vovo Telo'

I'll be the FO SHO!

For the love of kiddies things.

So, sometime in the near distant future I want to make kiddies books and kiddies apparel. So I am forever on the search for awesome stuff for the little one's. I have come across ubabub! Just cause kids are small doesn't mean they have to be subjected to all the mass junk that's out there. So for your viewing pleasure I have included some of ubabubs awesome prints, and two of my own... (you've probably seen them on here before). I am in the character development stage which has been ongoing ll year, so hopefully next year it will be ready to launch. But for now, here's a little reminder (keep your eye's peeled!)
XXX

Here are my two little one's, done for two special ladies. I need a kick up my bum because I have tons of little girl drawings waiting to be completed and made into wallpapers, decals, t shirts... but it seems without a deadline other things take preference! pshhh. Traffic! Open me up a job bag :)

GoodMorning&GoodNight

Has any one seen the sun dog!

If you go look at the sun right now (QUICKLY QUICKLY!) you'll see a sun dog, to put it in basic terms its the light refracting off of Ice crystals in the sky! It looks like a giant rainbow around the sun! This photo was just taken by my friend Raph from our work balcony in Rivonia!

all about me, through LUMO-graphy!

My best friend Hayley just got back to India and introduced me to ginger tea! Just slice up a few pieces of ginger, pop them in your tea of choice (even add milk if you so desire) and feel instantly calmer!

My aunty Bev came down from East London and bought us one of her famous GIGANTIC avo's from her garden. I've placed a few objects next to the avo to try show you how bloody HUGE this thing is! To make it even better they are so creamy and delicious!

I took this photo on the rooftop of Rosebank on Saturday, I love the brightness of the red brick.

Design is a good idea in 44 Stanley is a GOOOOOOOOD idea to go to.
I fell in love with their Pantone mugs and diary's! They have uber cool stuff in there, anyone interested in design will just wee from excitement!

Also at a shop at 44, how beautiful! And easily done, or so Hayley and I thought so. So keep your eye's peeled for my own version!

Chandeliers hanging in a shop at 44 Stanley, I'm so sorry but I forgot what it was called. I felt like a princess walking in there and having so many chandeliers hanging above my head! I would love to do a shoot there one-day!

Something I found outside one of the shops. Lovely! I love JHB!

Hayley and I had a spot of lunch at Plaka in Northcliff. A day filled with champagne and Tapa's, a dream come true!

Treat? Jes, Danni, Sarah and I went on a girls night in Greenside on Saturday night (Halloween). Whilst minding our own business at The Office we received some shooters (presumably tequila, due to the precariously laid down lemons) and all swooned knowing that we 'still have IT'. After ching chinging and downing said shooters, they turned out to be water.

Trick?

Nice one guys, would have loved to see the barman's face when these gentlemen ordered 6 shooters of water and lemon?

A lovely photo of an illustration that my dear love Ricki owns, it's beautiful isn't it?

A Christmas Carol and the Cricket on the Hearth by Charles Dickens bought at a charity shop on Saturday, too sweet!

White Fang by Jack London, also purchased on Sat. I wish they still made book covers like this. Yellow linen and black letterpress.

And last but not least a T-shirt I bought from Dokter & Misses at 44 Stanley. You can check them out here online.

The dude at the the shop said their friend did this T-shirt, I'll find out who the artist is but I think it's such an amazing t-shirt!

Check out the hanging gardens by Joe Paine, totally gonna get me one next month.

Love!

Lemon Meringue love from lovely Susan!

Lovely Susan's mother in law made her an AMAZING Lemon Meringue for her birthday! And being the lovely person she is she brought it into work to share!

YUM delish!

It gave every one a bit of a pucker pout but it was totally worth it!

I also love Susan's cupcake fabric which she so delicately laid out the knifes and forks on.

Too sweet!

Thank you Susan's mother in law!
And Happy happy birthday Susanetjie.

Food + Art = YAY!

Amazing Foodshots by Marina Aurora!
I have just become such a fan.

Her photographs are so beautiful in their simplicity.
I also think I love them because they have a bizarre sense of order.
Everything is placed to strategically, methodically even.

Feast your eyes!
