syringe girl

'I created this illustration purely because I am so shocked and horrified by the illegal dumpings of medical waste by a South African man in Welcom.

'Free State police arrested Gavin Brasher in Welkom after raids in November unearthed 300t of medical waste - including body parts and used syringes - in shallow pits at his brick factory'

Here's the link to the story:http://www.timeslive.co.za/news/article297905.ece

It seems as if we are so desensitized to everything around us. Please see the sheer magnitude of hypodermic needles buried in the illegal dump. I find it mind blowing.
Surely this kind of stuff can't happen in this day and age?

an ode to my loves

Generally I'm not too fond of editing, but thought I should give it a bash. No footage was used, it's all made up of stills...taken by myself at a dinner party a year or two ago. Not too bad of an attempt, I think? I had way too much fun...so more to come.

This photo was taken age's ago in Margate when my lovely friend Jes and I went down to Loeries. He was leaning against a rock and seemed so deep in thought.
It was very sweet.
